Description :
Reporting to the Coordinator of Institutional and Pedagogical Development and Research, the IT & Programs Pedagogical Counsellor supports faculty in the integration of information and communication technology into the classroom and the curriculum. The IT & Programs Pedagogical Counsellor also supports program committees in the development, implementation, evaluation, revision and ongoing improvement of programs.

More specifically, but not limited to, the IT & Programs Pedagogical Counsellor
• Advises and assists teachers with the integration of IT pedagogical tools into their courses in ways that support student learning and success;
• Supports the integration of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) profile into the teaching and learning focus of the College;
• Maintains the IPDR website;
• Develops, organizes and offers pedagogical training and workshop activities for the IPDR, including activities on the use of IT in the classroom;
• Represents the College at meetings of the intercollege IT Representatives Network (REPTIC) to collaborate, share and exchange practical experiences in the use of technologies and their applications in the teaching and learning processes;
• Liaises with other external IT partners and other pedagogical development offices and contributes to intercollegiate pedagogical development and IT activities dedicated to the integration of IT in colleges;
• Keeps abreast of changes in educational technology.
For academic programs:
• Supports program development committees in the development, implementation and revision of academic programs in accordance with Ministry regulations and College policies;
• Supports program committees in their ongoing program development activities in accordance with Ministry regulations and College policies. Required activities include assistance with:
o Development/revision of exit profiles and associated program comprehensive assessments;
o Interpretation of competencies;
o Curriculum mapping;
o Program grid development/modification;
o Development/revision of course frameworks, course outlines, learning and assessment activities, work plans and follow-up reports.
• Ensures the annual dissemination and interpretation of program monitoring information (Key Performance Indicators) and responds to other specific data requests as part of the continuous improvement of education;
• Supports program committees through all phases of the ongoing program improvement process;
• Leads or co-facilitates educational development activities related to the pedagogical development of teachers, especially related to the program approach and to competency-based learning.

Other related tasks which fall within the scope of the mandate of this position may be assigned.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.(35 hours/week)

Requirements :
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in an appropriate field or specialization, particularly education.

Conditions related to the specific position:
• Experience in curriculum design and pedagogy, preferably in a competency-based educational setting (to be tested);
• Demonstrated knowledge and good understanding of the program approach and competency-based education;
• In-depth knowledge of the Cégep system and programs;
• Excellent knowledge of ICTs and computerized pedagogical applications;
• Excellent knowledge of online collaborative learning and other e-learning methods;
• Experience in LMS and/or Website management and/or design;
• Excellent ability to plan, coordinate, and implement multiple projects simultaneously and work to meet competing deadlines and changing priorities;
• Excellent ability to find, learn and understand new information;
• Excellent ability to communicate and explain different concepts at a level appropriate to the target audience;
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, multi-disciplinary environment;
• Strong interpersonal and organizational competencies;
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (to be tested);
• Excellent English written and oral communications competencies (to be tested);
• Strong French written and oral communications competencies (to be tested).
